As a non-profit organization, RoCDA comprises accomplished professionals, including casting directors for film, television, and commercials, as well as actors and other industry experts. Our mission is to promote local casting directors and talent while raising awareness of the importance of the casting process and highlighting the role of casting directors in the overall education of a film or production.

Casting directors play a crucial role in the entire production process; however, in Romania, this profession is not officially recognized in the Romanian Classification of Occupations (COR). We advocate for the inclusion of casting directors in the COR code to ensure that they receive the same rights and protections as other essential departments within the entertainment industry. Casting directors not only select talent but also contribute significantly to the creative vision of projects. Their expertise is vital for the success of productions.
